My goals last semester were to learn how to manage my time better and to stay more organized. I have made really good progress on them. Now I have more time to get errands and homework done. My school work is now more organized so it is easier to keep better track of all my assignments.
I don't have many new goals for myself this semester other than to work a lot harder in my classes stay motivated, and help my future mentee get through their first year of college with a good experience. I need to work harder in class because they are getting harder as we go through each semester and I want to be able to transfer soon. Motivation would play a huge role in helping me work harder in class. I would stay encouraged and have something pushing me through the semester. As for my mentee I just want them to have a great first year experience.

Political Science Goals
For this semester I have set three general goals with two specific goals that describe what exactly I would like to accomplish from each.
General Goal 1: Pass this class
1. Stay on task with my homework, in other words I can't procrastinate.
2. Improve my study skills and learn how to better analyze course context.
General Goal 2: Improve on organizing everything.
1. Use an agenda to keep track of all important dates.
2. Keep my work in folders by categories, for example, like subject, notes, homework, date, etc.
General Goal 3: Improve my vocabulary.
1. Learn and use more 'college level' words.
2. Look up words in a dictionary, words I come across but don't understand or know.

Outcome
When we started this class eight weeks ago, we were asked to set three general goals with specific goals. I worked hard on these goals and I believe that I have almost accomplished them. My first general goal was to pass this class, which is given in any course. But to be more specific, I wanted to stay on task without procrastinating and improve my study and analyzing skills. I stayed on task with my assignments for the most part, there were some times where I was working down to the last minute, but I still managed to get everything turned in on time. My studying and analyzing skills have improved a lot during this course. Many of these assignments required us to read articles and watch ac campaigns of short videos. Doing all these assignments really helped me because I pushed myself to look further and deeper into the articles and videos to find what I was really looking for. My second general goal was to improve on organization, to specifically use an agenda to keep track of all important dates and organizing all my work into different files by categories. I have accomplished this one since the beginning because I have turned in every assignment on time and was able to find different files on my computer more easily thanks to the new files I made. And my third and final general goal was to improve on my vocabulary, to be more specific learning and using a higher vocabulary and looking up new and unfamiliar words up in a dictionary. I am learning and coming across new words all the time now so I can stray away from using words that are very common and start using new words so that when it comes to writing papers they are more academic and college level. I have been looking up every unfamiliar or new word I come across and it helps me understand what I’m reading or learning about more easily. I now keep a dictionary beside me now whenever I am doing my homework or always have a tab opened to dictionary.com when I’m on my computer. I do need to continue working on some of these goals, but I have stood on track with them and I’m happy with how well I kept on track with them.
